The Best of Copenhagen Fashion Week AW14
Here we go! A review of the best of Copenhagen Fashion week AW14!!!
The #1 Trend established (no surprise) By Malene Birger: Layering with a Sequin Tee
The most elegant show is always Jesper Hovring, dressmaker and the designer of my future wedding dress! The yellow jumpsuit gave me chills when I watched her walk down the runway.
The funnest show was easily David Andersen, completely unforgettable. It wasn’t a fashion show it was a sci-fi movie! Watch the show here. The music was awesome as well.
The most accessible was Baum und Pferdgarten.
Munthe was very feminine and had tons of pieces I wish I could buy!
Lovely knits from Stine Goya
If you go to any Magasin in Denmark or Illum in Copenhagen, you must try on Day Birger et Mikkelsen. Every item is very high quality and don’t let these pictures intimidate you, they have clothing for every day wear.
There was something amazingly sexy about the movement of several of the Barbara I Gongini looks, recommend watching the show a quarter of the way in for these two dresses in particular.
My two favorites looks from Wood Wood AW14
Designers Remix was harshly militaristic. The designs were very simple, but these are the type of dresses that look Really Amazing on me because they are well-made and structured. Besides, we all love wearing knee high stiletto boots! The music made me feel like I was in RoboCop LOL!
The most beautiful coat I’ve ever seen in my entire life was made by Bruuns Bazaar. I would go to Illum to visit my coat and whisper sweet nothings to it…until some awful (or lucky) person bought it. This year the AW14 did not disappoint. The grey coat below looks plush! I may have to visit it…
Speaking of coats…here are some artistic coats from Freya Dalsjo’s collection.
I double dog dare you! It comes as no surprise that Anne Sofie Madsen used to work for Galliano at Dior.
Well that brings me to the end…for now! There were several other fashion shows that were great fun to watch, so make sure to explore Copenhagen Fashion Week. Enjoy!
